Just finished The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. Was not to surprised by the book, not the content of the book but the idea of the book. Langdon continues to say, "But it is a myth" and some other character says, "Are you sure" I did like the book but compare it to the other Robert Langdon book this one is in last place.

I just finished the book Last Night at the Lobster by Stewart O'Nan. As an old employee of the Red Lobster this is a great story about a General Manager that is dealing with losing "his" resteraunt. Putting enough hours into a place to actually call it home he is dealing with the fact that the corporation has decided it no longer makes enough money to keep it in operation. The story may not be one of the best, however the way the author describes the location and the feelings of the main character I do believe it is one of the best written books I have read. It actually made me miss the kitchen of the Lobster that I spent so much time at!!!

My Family Game Night Blog post got me wondering what games you play with the kids. I am looking for games that would entertain kids of all ages. Since the younger kids have been away we have played: King in the Corner and Poker

I do not care what time of the day it is when I walk into your office. I am there for a reason. Do not continue to munch on your snack while you are talking to me about something that has become a hot topic to our boss. If I am in your office I do not want food flying out of your mouth while you are answering question. PUT THE FOOD DOWN!!!

I am wondering if allowing kids to watch as much TV as they want will make it so someday they will get bored of it and have a life, or will they waste their lives away in front of the TV?

I finished this Book in the Twilight Series. This was a lot better than the first. I know when you have a series of books the first one usually is just to get the introductions of the characters. I guess having more about Jacobs story and less of the Bella "trying to fit in" made it more enjoyable. Finally, she didn't care what everyone else thought of her.

I think if you weren't blown away by the first book, the second is not likely to do it for you either. I read all of the books, and appreciated them for the "fluffy" romances that they are. I certainly don't think they are pieces of literary genius. I had never read a vampire book before, so they were interesting to me because they were something totally new for me. I also never read romance novels, so that aspect of this series was new to me as well. These books are definitely just pleasure reads and I think they accomplish that purpose just fine.

I read this awhile ago since the movie was on its way to the theater and I always try to read the book before I go to the Movie. I do have to honestly say that for being a book about vampires it really did not hold my attention. However this book was tageted for teen aged girls with low self esteem. I mean honestly wouldn't it be cool to go from a place where you are less than ordinary to a place that you are thought of as great looking and the "hottest" person wants to date you? You wouldn't care if he was a vampire either. I hope the next book is better, because I am going to have to read that since the movie is coming out.
