So there I was minding my own business at work.  My Boss called me into his office.  Well needless to say, he saw my blog.  I will not get into the company policies and the blantent disrespect for these policies that made it possible for him to find my blog.  However, I stopped blogging for awhile, well I have been blogging in other area’s as a guest blogger or under another name.  Now I know that this guy will get curious about what I have been up to since I have found my new job in a new office that I am treated like an adult.  So To that person, “not once did I try to tell you how to do your job.  Not once did I not recomend something that I thought would make things run better.  Not once did I argue with you when you told me to do something.  And not once did I go above your head when you disregarded my findings on things that needed to be fixed.  But you did make me question my own intellegence many times and you belittled me at every opportunity.  Therefore I am glad you still have your office and I am glad that I am now at a place that has already made changes that I recomended to you, and guess what we are now at the top of Network security.”

So hopefully I will be around a little more and you may get to see me in the blogsphere a lot more.

Gald to be back

Big Win on Election Night

I just want to congratulate all the Marijuana Advocates out there for the 2 wins Tonight…

Michigan voters have decided to allow Marijuana to be a decision by a doctor and its patients.  The State I was born in is now the 13th state to legalize Medical Marijuana.

Massachusetts has joined its neighbor, New York, in voting to Decriminalize Marijuana.  This will make it so if you are found with less than an ounce of Marijuana you will be fined $100.  This is another state that believes law enforcement is fighting a battle against a harmless act and wants to see Law Enforcement officials spend their time fighting something more worth while.

Congrats…  A big step was made in this election…

Not a Medicine but what happend 30 years ago

Every time the White House Drug Czar, John Walters, speaks of the Medical use of Marijuana he says things along the line of, “Snake oil” “Medicinal Crack” and everything you can think of someone saying whose job depends on keeping Marijuana illegal.
Here is the Question, If this is all true and the beliefs of the White House, then why has the Federal Government been giving it to patients for 30 years?
Yes today marks the 30th year since the Federal Government started giving Marijuana to Robert Randal May 10th, 1978. It was considered a Research program that during those 30 years have seen 34 members of the group. 4 of them are still surviving. and those four are still receiving their 10 ounces of Marijuana per month.
NORML has an article here
Now for some of you that think that Medical Marijuana users just want to get high:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEDICAL MARIJUANA (although you are really thousands of years old)

Set up for failure

I will try to do anything to keep from Failure.  I will make sure I do not fail at something I do.  However when you work for other people that do not understand certain things about the new world of Technology sometime it feels like a set up for Failure.

Todays Project:

I am in charge of Network Security, we do have a help desk but for some reason they want me to set this laptop up for a special project.  The requirements: Windows XP, Office 2007, and Network Connection.

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 3800.

Well I am not a Master at any field but let me say this one thing.  I was curious so I did a quick Google search on this type of laptop to quickly find a review.  The review was written in August 2000…  Now I have this Machine that was around to see the twin towers get taken down, This computer was used by someone to watch the Summit meeting held by George Bush and Tony Blair for the summit meeting at Lajes Field in Portugal.  For all I know this laptop could have helped tally the Vote for George Bush’s Re-Election.  This laptop is older than my youngest daughter and my oldest wasn’t even in School yet.  This laptop probably had Windows NT 4.0, Office 98 and ran great…

Now I am suppose to get this thing running secure with Windows XP, Office 2007 and Symantec Antivirus?

I am doing the live update for Anti Virus that has not been done since April 2007 and it comes up with - “Not enough Hard Drive Space”  I am trying to add the user account for the person, “Not enough Hard Drive Space”

So, I go to my boss and say, “Can I sent this laptop to the Smithsonian?”

“GET IT TO WORK” is his reply…

Patriot Guard

I am a Veteran of the US Air Force. I will always support the Troops that have volunteered to serve our country. Today I was looking around the Web and stumbled across this great group. Patriot Guard Riders. The reason I like this group is because of what they do. When you deal with most Veteran groups they like their parades and they like their publicity but they also like to provide thier political views and comments. If you are a Veteran in these Organizations and your view is completly different from the majority you can acrually be treated so bad you don’t want to show up to the functions anymore.

This is part of their mission statement:

We don’t care what you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a “hawk” or a “dove”. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what your income is. You don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.

This shows you right there that they are there to Support those Members of the Veteran Ranks that deserve Respect.
