Pain and Addiction - An Update

I wanted to fill you in on my status. As you know the doctor has taken me off of the Narcotics that I was perscribed. I am not complaining because I do get addicted to things easy, (Air, Water, Food, and Hugs)
Seriously I would perfer to be pain free and not have to worry about addiction. So I am sitting at work. I have realized that since I was removed from my pain killers I have not gotten out of my chair as much (Thanks, Sire for the Games… They have kept me Occupied :D), been getting more muscle spasm and can not shake this weak, tingling in my legs. That is not an issue to me either, well not major, My coworker called and asked if I could print something for him. I realized that while I was on my medication I would have printed it and taken it over to the other building to give it to him. Today I called him up to tell him it was ready for him.
So Today = No Pain Killers =
1. Not getting out of my chair
2. makeing people change habits to deal with my disability
3. Sitting on a Block of ice to get the pain to diminish a little
4. Have had 9 Extra Strenght Tylenol in the past 12 hours
5. Annoyed team members at the meeting because my legs kept shaking the Table.

Okay Girls give me a little Feed back

Okay ladies,
As a single father with 2 girls I can already tell I am in deep Dodo…
The other day I was doing the “Dad is right” Argument with my 11 year old. I ended up with the vein on my forehead throbbing and saying, “You are not a teenager yet, why do you have the attitude already.”
Now here I am getting a little angry with my 11 year old Daughter. She says, “Dad I am a Girl, its called PMS”

Okay I know a little about women, but what I want to know is:
1. When they seperate the boys and girls for health class do they actually say, “Now if a man gets on your nerves, Treat him like crap and say it is PMS.”
2. I looked under the Sink where all the Feminine Products are to see if she has needed them yet, boxes are all closed still. Can she legally use this excuse before she starts getting that monthly visit?

And just to finish the story… After she said that I had to leave the room because I was laughing so much…

The New Guy

Okay I have been at this position for a whole 3 months now. The person I have taken over for is retiring in a couple months and is supposidly not the Point of contact for anything anymore. I love that, You need something you get used to dealing with me now.
Problem, Everyone still calls, emails and uses his name for everything.
I got an email today from the head of the IT Division Titled,
“Dru you need to do your Job!!!”

The great thing is I have been in this business long enough to know you need a paper trail. I forwarded him 28 emails within 4 minutes. All emails trying to get information with no responces.
About 2 hours later he sent a message to all employees in the IT Division titled,
“DAVE RETIRED, DRU IS THE GUY NOW!!!”

Inside his email he told everyone that they are making themselves look bad by not using my knowledge and experience. Within minutes people started getting the information to me.

It was a great day… Stress in the morning with a “Great Job, Thanks” email at the end of the day.

Should they Punish me

I busted my @$$ to get the income I get now. I spent 14 years away from my brothers and parents, I went to shool full time while working full time and raised a toddler by myself to get to where I am now.
Am I really going to get punished because my brother makes $100 for every $1000 I make?
He never tried college, He looks for jobs that are Flexible with hours because he doesn’t want to wake up in the morning. So he is the one that should get the tax break?
Everyone says Robin Hood was a hero… He was a Theif. Stealing is stealing it doesn’t matter who it is from. I am for abolishing the Income Tax altogether. Sales tax, Luxury Tax, Property Tax, that is all good. If I don’t want to pay Taxes I don’t buy anything. If I want to buy a 50 foot Boat then I should pay for it. 10% of my income goes into my retirement plan (Tax free until I take it out) This way I do not have to be a burden to the Tax payers. 10% goes to my Church and 10% gets split up between some Non Profits I like. I help where I can with what I can. But hurting me because I make what I do is Punishment for good work ethic and good life plan.

BTW, I just got back from living in Germany… I was paying over $6 per Gallon and 48% of my income was taxed by the German Government… This Gas price is fine with me

Pain and Addiction - A new tale

I guess my Doctor had a change in heart. After my last visit on August 21 I was given 15 day supply of Vicodin. When I went back to the doctor 23 days later he asked me how many I had left. I told him 3 pills. This was a sign to him that I not only had a dependency problem that we were worried about but I didn’t need that strong of a drug.
So here I am Proud of the fact that I was able to make 15 days of my favorite drug last over 23 days. But here I am now in so much pain that I can’t get out of my chair. I love my Laptop.
So New Doctor or New Drug?
