I joined the Military at a young age. I was luck to find a Mentor in the military that was not only a great Aircraft Mechanic but also a great leader. I learned at a young age that to be successful look to someone that has become successful already at what you want to do. Unfortunalty in the position I am now holding my Leadership is not successful. Therefore, They hired me because of my leadership abilities. Who is my Mentor in Leadership now? Abraham Lincoln…

Now, I am writing this because having a Mentor is very important to everyone. Right now I am new to blogging. I don’t want to be a full time writer but I do have a lot of stories to tell. I want a writing Mentor.

Do you have a Mentor? Is there one person that you strive to compare to?
Do you Mentor anyone?

I would never be able to Convert
I also believe:
Flag burning is not freedom of speech - It is a hate crime against all Americans
The Government can not tell me I can’t own a Gun… I want to shoot a Squirel on my bird feeder with an M-16 I should be allowed to.
People can be trusted not to discriminate - Who protects me as a young White Male? I have been discriminated against and the law has allowed it. There is no such thing as Reverse Discrimination. Discrimination is Discrimination.
Cutting Taxes will improve the economy, Common sence tells you if you bring more money home you will spend more money.

Pain or Addiction?

I have heard before that a doctor is responsible for risk management when it comes to prescriptions and finding the best cure for the issue. I am disabled and deal with a lot of pain though the day. From morning to night I feel pain. I spent 2 years on prescription pain killers for my pain. I loved it. When you deal with pain you feel tiered real fast and do not want to do much though the day because it causes more pain. My drug of choice is Vicodin. One of the warnings was it would cause drowsiness. I believe it probably would but it works so good for the pain that I actually have energy from not dealing with pain.
Now after 2 years on a single drug you get a dependence on the drug. I took myself off of it and after a few months I realized that The pain sucks and went to the doctor for something for the pain better than Motrin. This was a new doctor and he wanted to put me on Vicodin again. I told him about my dependence problem last time. He said that because of what I am going though he is not worried about it because I am going to have to take something for the pain the rest of my life.
I love not being in pain and love being able to get up and stand for more than 5 minutes. But do I worry about addiction?

Man in a Womens World

I am a Single father, therefore there are things I have to do that most fathers do not do. One thing I have to do is go to Girl Scouts and participate where I am 99.9% of the time the only father there. That is one example but I do find myself in situations where I am a man in what seams a Womens world. I know I am snesitive and can relate to a lot of women. I am a man raising two Girls. Braiding Hair and playing with Barbie is what I have to do. I understand that. But please remember I am a MAN.

I do not want to sit there and listen to how your sex life is boring. I do not want to hear how your husband is inadequate. I will not get married again. Not because I hate marriage, I actually think it is amazing to be married, I now know what women say behind their husbands backs. I know that society believes that Men are the “Dogs” and all they think about is sex. I have news for you I have never heard so many outlandish conversations in my life. Women not only talk about sex constantly but they understand that they can get what ever they want. They play us men like you wouldn’t believe.

I love women I really do and there are a lot of times that I have fun hanging out with the “Moms.” But I get to the point where they consider me one of the women and tell me things I do not have a need to know.

Of course, there is the curiosity that gets me. I get pulled aside because I am a “safe man” to talk to. I get the women that want a mans opinion on things. The answer I have to the most popular problem, “If your husband wants to spend time with you, it is probably because he loves you, and wants to spend time with you.” Very rarely is it just because he wants to smother you. If you are bored with your husband in bed, Experiment with him. Do not complain to your friends. Talk to him and teach him where you want to be touched.

Everything has to do with communication. The way I see it is if you can talk to me after a Girl Scout meeting you should be able to talk to your husband about it.

Kids and Cars

I have never thought this would happen but it is true I agree with Senator Clinton. Please check out this link http://www.kidsandcars.org/
My best friend lost her son at age 7 less than a year ago. They lived on the same street as the Elementary school. He was walking down the sidewalk when an SUV backing out of the driveway next door to the house ran him over. Colin was a great kid and I miss my XBOX buddy. This was a death that could have been prevented and didn’t need to happen.
I know a lot of you will not agree with the Marijuana issue I always talk about but please get with your state Senator and help Kidsandcars.org make it safer for children. None of us that knew Colin will ever be the same but it compares nothing to his parents.

Colin, seeing the Halloween stuff in the stores breaks my heart. I can’t believe it has almost been a year. You are thought of all the time by a lot of people.
