You only get flushed once…

I am a boring person and like most boring people I have a couple of sayings that I use, the main one is when I am asked, “How are you Dru?” my responce is usually, “Well I am breathing.”
another saying I like is, “God will piss on you though your life but he will only flush once.”
I have a lot of faith and know that everything will work out in the end, no matter what stresses i have had in my life I do not believe anything will ever get beyond what I can handle. This does leave me to take chances on a lot of things. I am a risk taker when it comes to a lot of things, Job, Money, and people. But there are also things I will not take risks with, my Kids being the main one.
I am not losing my faith but I am starting to feel that the big guy upstairs is trying to tell me something about calming down my life. After the past weeks, even months things have gotten very stressful. Usually, this is stress that has occured because of some risk I have taken where the Risk/reward chart was a little close to the risk side.
The problem I am having and trying to figure out is, when does it get to the point that the Risk is to the point where you cut your losses and run?

I probably cannot be much help with the risk taking situation, but I will tell you that your saying is probably the best I’ve heard of in a long time.

Thanks Doug, I am glad you like it. I usually get one of those looks like, “Hey, that is so true” the first time I use it, but like most things I tend to over-use it.

I most likely can’t help you much on the risk issue because I’m probably on the other end of the spectrum…very conservative on most issues. I usually see the potential losses and focus on those more than the potential gains.

The exception to that is lunch. I do like a good meal-time risk like “can I possibly eat that entire burrito and avoid drifting into a coma this afternoon?” Anyone up for Moe’s tomorrow?
